Late-stage apatite carbonatite as a possible source of the HREEs

Exploring geological processes responsible for the concentration of heavy rare earth elements (HREE) in carbonatite complexes:

  • Examining if late-stage apatite found in carbonatites is a possible reservoir for HREE.
  • Investigating the methods and timing of hydrothermal movement of REE from carbonatites.

Efficiency of resources in phosphate deposits

  • Conducting research on innovative techniques for separating phosphate (P2O5) from the Qixia Project through mineral processing methods involves studying the mineralogy and geochemistry of samples obtained from the deposits.
  • Additionally, performing experiments to discover novel approaches for separating REE minerals and apatite from the Qixia REE deposit.
  • Furthermore, analyzing waste materials to develop processing methods that can effectively separate impurities and produce gypsum that is free from contaminants in the phosphorite deposits.
